Nous arrivons a Quito en ce 1er fevrier, nous somme logés chez mon amie Raque, que j'ai egalement connu a Montpellier, ca fesait donc 1 an et demi qu'on ne s'etait pas vu et evidemment elle n'a pas change! Elle habite une belle maison a Cumbaya dans la banlieue de Quito avec sa famille tres chaleureuse et acceuillante!
La ville fue fondee en 1534 par le conquistador espagnol Benalcazar. Elle compte environ 2 millions d'habitants et s'eleve a 2850m.
Quito est une jolie capitale, moin grande, moin bruyante et moin peuplée que Bogota elle est bien plus agreable.
Nous visitons les grandes places, quelques musees et les plus beaux monuments (pour la plupart des edifices religieux) du beau centre historique, comme la place de l'Independance avec le palais du gouvernement, la cathedrale Primada, la mairie... ainsi que la Basilica del Voto Nacional qui offre une vue panoramique magnifique du tout Quito!
Vous pouvez egalement apercevoir quelques photos culinaires prises lors du repas de famille avec seulement une partie de la famille a Raque car au complet, ils sont plus d'une centaines!!!

We arrived in Quito on first of February, host at my friend's place, Raque who i met in Montpellier, so its been one year and half that we didnt see each other, wouhouuu!
She lives in Cumbaya, close to Quito, with her welcoming and nice family!
Quito has been founded in 1534 by a spanish conquistador named Benalcazar, has 2 millions of inhabitants and is rised up at 2850m !
The capital is a nice city, smaller, smaller, less noisy and less populated than Bogota, its therefore much more pleasant to walk here.
We visit the main squares, some museums and the most beautiful buildings (most of them are religious) of the nice historical center of Quito which was the first historical center (with Cracovia and Varsovia) listed by the UNESCO in the world patrimony! The Independance square, the gouvernment palace, the primada cathedral, the city hall... and the Basilica del Voto Nacional which offers a very nice panoramic view of all Quito!
At the end, you can see some food pictures, taken during the great family meeting of Raque's family !
